The 1st inhabitants of the Balkan Peninsula, who were agricultural populations, had attributed a spirit to each and every all-natural phenomenon. Over time, these vague spirits took human kind and became part of mythology as gods and goddesses. Hera was the wife of Zeus and, ironically, the goddess of fidelity.
